WHY NOT HIRE A MINIMUM-WAGE STAFF MEMBER WITH A RUBBER STAMP THAT SAYS "NON-ACCIDENTAL TRAUMA".
Do they even care about doing a thorough job?

Child Abuse Pediatrics is a Specialty that is easy to get into and there is a shortage. 
Do not assume they are more "expert" than you. Many, such as Dr. Lamb, testify in a manner suggesting they are willing to either falsify research to support their claims, or just don't know the research. 
There are also some that are know as "traveling CAPs" that have moved around different states.
